Privacy Policy

Last updated 23 September 2026

This policy explains what ClientsSetu collects about you, why, who it is shared with, and what you can ask us to do about it. It applies to the website, the app, and everything you do through your ClientsSetu account.

1.Who we are

ClientsSetu is operated by ClientsSetu. We run a platform that connects customers with independent professionals consultants, chartered accountants, company secretaries, lawyers and similar. We are the facilitator; the professional you book is not our employee.

In this policy, "we" and "us" mean the platform operator, and "you" means anyone using the platform, whether as a customer or as a professional.

2.What we collect

We collect what the platform needs in order to work:

  • Account details your name, mobile number, email address, and the city or address you give us.
  • Booking details the services you book, the schedule, the delivery mode, and anything you write in the booking.
  • Payment details the amount, status and reference of each payment. Card and UPI credentials are handled by our payment gateway and do not reach our servers.
  • Payout details for professionals, the bank or UPI account you ask us to pay into. These are stored encrypted.
  • Verification documents for professionals, the identity, qualification and registration documents uploaded when you apply.
  • Messages and support history chats with a professional, dispute descriptions and any images attached to them, and your correspondence with support.
  • Technical data device and browser information, IP address, and basic usage logs, which keep the service secure and working.

We do not ask for, and you should not send us, information about your health, religion, caste, political views or sexual orientation.

3.Why we use it

  • To create and run your account, and to sign you in by OTP.
  • To take, confirm and deliver bookings, and to connect you with the professional handling them.
  • To take payments, calculate commission, credit professional wallets and make payouts.
  • To verify professionals before they are allowed to take work.
  • To handle cancellations, refunds, disputes and support requests.
  • To send service messages booking confirmations, status changes, OTPs and payment receipts by SMS, WhatsApp, email or in-app notification.
  • To detect and prevent fraud, abuse and misuse of the platform.
  • To improve the service, understand which parts are used, and fix what is broken.
  • To meet legal, tax and regulatory obligations.

4.Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only in these situations:

  • With the professional you book, so they can do the work. How much of a professional you see before booking is a platform setting; what you share with them is what the booking needs.
  • With our payment gateway, to take payments and issue refunds.
  • With service providers who run parts of the platform for us hosting, SMS and WhatsApp delivery, error monitoring under contract, and only for that purpose.
  • With authorities, where a law, a court order or a regulator requires it.
  • With a buyer or successor, if the business is transferred, in which case this policy continues to apply until it is replaced.

5.Cookies and browser storage

We store a sign-in token and a few preferences your chosen city, your cart, your wishlist in your browser, so you are not asked for them again on every page. Clearing your browser data removes them and signs you out.

We do not run third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

6.How we protect it

  • Traffic between your device and our servers is encrypted in transit.
  • Payout bank and UPI details are encrypted at rest, with a key derived from an application secret rather than stored beside the data.
  • Passwords, where used, are stored hashed and cannot be read back by us.
  • Access to production data is limited to the staff who need it to run the platform, and administrative actions are logged.

No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your information, we will tell you and the relevant authority as the law requires.

7.How long we keep it

We keep your account information for as long as your account is open. Booking, payment and invoice records are kept for as long as tax and accounting law requires, even after an account is closed those records are what prove a transaction happened.

Verification documents are kept while a professional is active on the platform, and for a reasonable period afterwards in case a past booking is questioned.

  • Ask for a copy write to us and we will send you the personal information we hold about you.

10.Changes to this policy
